GSM Paper Quality

GSM stands for Grams per Square Meter. It measures the quality of paper. The higher the GSM number, the heavier the paper. The most common papers are in 90 gsm, 95 gsm, 120 gsm, 170 gsm, 250 gsm, and 300 gsm.

35 gsm to 55 gsm: This is very thin paper. Most newspapers are commonly printed on this paper thickness.

90 gsm to 100 gsm: This is the weight of most household printer paper.

120 gsm to 170 gsm: This GSM range covers the paper thickness of most posters. Paper with this GSM is sturdy enough to withstand a bit of wear and tear. It is also the thickness of flyers.

200 gsm to 300 gsm: This GSM covers the brochures, magazine covers.
